Luego de algún tiempo sin actualizar hardware y luego de arduas negociaciones y romper la alcancía por fin cambie de board y procesador.
Para comenzar es un procesador Amd Phenom Quad-core 9660 con 2 Gb en Ram (espero pronto adicionarle otras 2 Gb), una tarjeta de video Nvidia (al fin) GeForce 7300 GT con 256 mb. La vieja unidad quemadora de dvds, un disco duro ide de 80 Gb (donde instalo el sistema operativo), un disco SATA de 160 Gb (para Anime) y otro de 500 Gb (para los datos y descargas).
Le coloque en los puertos PCI una tarjeta de Red Realtek 8139 (la onboard de 10/100/1000 no funcionaba como yo quería en Debian por drivers) y la tarjeta de sonido es mi ya confiable y universal tarjeta de sonido marca Genius.
Actualmente está con multi boot instalado Windows Xp SP3 (un mal necesario) y mi confiable y amigable Gnu/Linux Debian. Como software adicional ya configuré drivers de la tarjeta de video Nvidia, Debian Lenny (a la fecha – Octubre 16 de 2008 – espero aun con ansias el release definitivo), compiz-fusion, cámara Web (la de siempre) funcionando con Amsn, Virtualbox (la versión de SUN) y maquinas virtuales para Winxp Lite y Opensolaris snv 99.
